Mrs Morrison, our Dance and Drama teacher, passes on a big thank you to all the students who took part in the Choreography Competition last night after school. Mrs Morrison was joined by Miss Tomes, a former student of ours and qualified Dance Teacher, who assisted in the audition process. All of the acts were scored out of 30, with marks for choreography, technique and performance. Both Mrs Morrison and Miss Tomes scored the acts separately, and then added the scores together to create the final mark and determine who was the winner/runner up.

Well done to Gracie in Year 7 who blew the judges away with her Gymnastics inspired routine, and Emily in Year 8 who showed a sassy side to her dance ability, something they don't usually see in Dance Academy.

For the Year 9/10/11 category, both of the joint winners had the exact same total score when they were discussed. This will no doubt make both of the winners and the runner up happy, as all 3 of them get to perform separately, after entering the competition as a trio for the last couple of years.

We look forward to seeing the performances as part of the Performing Arts Display in March.
