Primary School Sports Partnership

Carr Hill has outstanding sporting links with many local primary schools. The School’s Sports Partnership and Academies Officer, liaises with Headteachers and primary school sports’ specialists to ensure local Key Stage 2 students are provided with high quality sporting competitions and opportunities.

Carr Hill hosts, and is involved in planning, a range of different sporting events, most of which are held at the school to give younger students a taste of high school life. The events are delivered by the PE Department and the Carr Hill Sports’ Leaders who are all excellent role models to younger pupils. The Sports’ Leaders are students from Year 8 to Year 11.

Parents/Carers are encouraged to come and watch these events in a respectful and encouraging manner, but must sign in with Carr Hill High School helpers at the entrance of the event.

Student Sports Council Leadership

Student Sports Council Leadership is strong at Carr Hill High School and a formal structure of student sport representatives exists to ensure that student voice is effective, and ideas are acted upon by the PE department.
