Sportsmans Dinner 2018

Over 250 students attended this year’s Sportsman Dinner where almost 500 awards were presented by the PE faculty.

Pupils received awards for performances in individual sports, contribution to the Carr Hill PE faculty, sports related fundraising efforts and more. Staff also took the opportunity to announce the winning colleges for each year following the 2018 Sports Day before declaring Minerva College the overall winners of the day. Following the awards students enjoyed a meal and a disco.

Head of the PE faculty Mr Haydock said: “The Sportsmans Dinner is an opportunity for staff to recognise the many sporting achievements of our students. We gave out just a little under 500 awards and that demonstrates the commitment so many of the young people at Carr Hill show to sport. Thank you to all the students and staff who join us for the evening and congratulations to all our award winners.”
