Students who are part of the weekly lunchtime Maths Club used their skills to create square Christmas babubles from folded paper this week.

The weekly club which takes place every Wednesday lunchtime from 1.25pm is open to all students and is an opportunity for them to use their maths skills in a different context outside of a maths lesson. Over the last few week they have looked at symmetry in a snowflake and how to create lines of symmetry, the areas of a shape on a 3 by 3 pinboard and of course the Christ-maths bauble made using 6 squares of folded paper.

Teacher Mrs Potts said, "The club is designed to encourage stuidents' problem solving skills and their enjoyment of maths using it in different ways.  Anyone from any year is welcome and we hope you come along to see what we get up".
