Year 9 Alice was one of eight girls, aged between 13 and 16 years old, to be selected for Great Britain. Alice will hold her initial place until the end of March and then faces a re-selection process which, it successful, is likely to lead to her competing internationally for Great Britain.
Alice said: "I'm really happy to have qualified and I'm going to work hard to keep my place on the team. Now I've qualified I know I can do it so I'm going to use that to keep getting better."
Alice’s College Leader Mr Johnstone said: “This is a fantastic achievement and something Alice should be very proud of. Everyone at school wishes her the best of luck for the next stage of process and we look forward to hearing about how she got on.”
