Carr Hill Sixth Form students, who completed their courses in summer 2016, were welcomed back this week as they attended the Year 13 Achievement Awards.

Former students who are now at university, undertaking apprenticeships or working, returned to collect their exam certificates and catch up with staff before the awards ceremony began. Current Year 13 were also invited to attend the awards and each student, along with the leavers, received a graduation certificate. Awards were also presented for outstanding achievement across each of the nine faculties whilst progress, attendance and overall highest point score were also recognised.

Headteacher Mr Waller said: “I would like to thank all those who attended the Achievement Awards. The evening gave the sixth form an opportunity to mark the accomplishments of so many of our former and current students. The event also enabled staff to catch up with students and hear more about out how they are getting on at university, with their apprenticeships or employment.”
