Year 13 Jess has was recognised as the individual whose outstanding efforts and commitment have helped others to enjoy sporting activity to the maximum and whose contributions have been most valuable to clubs, individuals or the wider community.

Jess said: "I'm over the moon. I volunteer at lots of schools and clubs and i do it becuase I want to inspire younger people to get involved in sport. I love sport and by volunteering I hope to help others to enjoy it as much as me."

Year 8 Chloe was highly commended in the Endeavour Award category which recognises a young person who has shown the greatest commitment to making progress in their chosen sport, possibly overcoming adversity to do so. Chloe, who excells at Athletics, said: "I was shocked to be shortlisted but it was a great suprise. The awards ceremony was fun and I feel proud to have been given an award."

Headteacher Mr Waller said: "Congratulations to Jess and Chloe on their awards.They are clearly both very commiteed to sport and I'm delighted their hard work and dedication has been recognised at this awards evening. The students are a credit to the school and the wider community."
