Sporting Elite Academies

The school has four Sporting Elite Academies. The Football, Netball, Rugby and Dance Academies represent Carr Hill High School at a local, regional, national and international level.

 

Football Academy

The Football Academy consists of one squad made up of 18 players from Year 11. The team compete in the Wyre and Fylde Under 16 football league, the Lancashire Cup and the English School's FA Cup. The players are coached by Mr. Grady. 

All members of the team are equipped with their own training kit personalised with their initials and Sporting Elite badge. 

 

Netball Academy

The Netball Academy consists of two squads made up of 20 players from Year 11. The team compete in the Wyre and Fylde Under 16 netball league and the Lancashire Cup. The players are coached by Mrs. Beesley. 

All members of the team are equipped with their own training kit personalised with their initials and Sporting Elite badge. 

  

Rugby Academy

The Rugby Academy consists of one squad made up of 20 players from Year 11. The team compete in the Wyre and Fylde Under 16 rugby league and the Lancashire Cup. The players are coached by Mr. Penney and Mr. Bickerstaffe. 

All members of the team are equipped with their own training kit personalised with their initials and Sporting Elite badge. 

 

Dance Academy

The Dance Academy consists of 12 dancers from Year 11. The team compete in the Wyre and Fylde Dance Festival in addition to showcasing their talents at Carr Hill High School's annual Dance Display evening. The dancers are directed by Miss. O'Connor. 

The girls are equipped with their own training kit personalised with their initials and Sporting Elite badge. 

All academy members have the opportunity to develop their young leader skills by supporting lower school activities. Students are encouraged to assist with coaching, the running of workshops and primary school events and more.
