We have spent more time than ever in our houses on and off over the last year, but books provide a way to travel without leaving the room. This World Book Day, we are celebrating the joy of books and reading, with a range of week-long activities and competitions. Keep your eye out for more updates and all the information can be found by clicking here - World Book Day 2021.

'Caught Reading' Photos

To celebrate the day on 4th March, we'd love to display selfies or photos of you reading!  This would look like the pictures below.  Please send your photos to Ms Fry at cfry@carrhill.lancs.sch.uk using the title World Book Day.

It is important that you:

  • Only send photos from your school email address
  • Make sure photos are suitable and appropriate for school use

Creativity Work

Mrs Gardner was so impressed with the photos that were sent in by Alfred in 81A, showing work completed during an English session where students were able to explore creativity with reading materials. Mrs Gardner said "I think they are fabulous" and Mrs Aspden said "I love the tunnel ones! They’re fab!" Thank you to Alfred and well done.
