Six students who have read the most words in their year groups as part of the accelerated reader programme were taken to local book store book, bean and ice cream to spend their well earned £10 book voucher prize.
Students were given the opportunity to browse and select a book or books of their choice before enjoying a warm drink and snack in the café area.
Assistant Headteacher Mr Morton said: " I would like to congratulate all our winners on the commitment they have shown to reading throughout the accelerated reading programme. Literacy and reading is vital to students development and helps learning across all curriculum subjects and in activities outside of school."
