Year 9 students enjoyed a kayaking session at Fairhaven Lake as part of their GCSE PE course.

The event was organised by Outdoor Education North West and Fylde Council and gave students the opportunity to try a new sport.

The popular watersport, which involves using a paddle to move across the water in a canoe like boat, was received well by students who learn new skills and developed confidence as part of the activity.

Faculty Leader for PE Mr Haydock said: “The kayaking session was really well received by our Year 9 students who took the new opportunity and got straight in to it.”
