Former pupil is referee of the year

Former student Jack Tickle was awarded Young Referee of the Year after refereeing at the PDPL Cup Finals Day at Fleetwood Town’s Highbury Stadium this weekend.

Jack, who has been refereeing since he was 14, was supported and encouraged by his former PE teacher and fellow referee Mr Doughty. Mr Doughty said: “Congratulations to Jack on a fantastic and well deserved achievement. This award shows that dedication and hard work is recognised and rewarded. I’m sure this is only the beginning for Jack’s career in refereeing and look forward to hearing more about his successes in the future.”
