Ben, who left Carr Hill after seven years in 2018, completed a rigorous selection process which lasted 12 months to gain his place at Sandhurst. This provided many opportunities including a six week trip to Canada. It was attending cadets that lead Ben to pursue a career in the army.

Headteacher Mr Waller said: “We wish Ben the best of luck as he begins his officer training at Sandhurst. I’m sure Ben has a bright future ahead and he is a great role model to our current students, particularly those who aspire have a career in one of the forces.”
