Full Opening of School

Please find information here, including a detailed plan for the full re-opening of the school from Monday 8th March.

Some key points -

  • The return is phased and it will take a week to get all students back because of the Covid testing being done. Students at home should continue to access work on Synergy until their return day
  • Staff and students will be asked to wear face coverings in the buildings, including classrooms, to protect the school community, unless a 2 metre distance can be kept or they are exempt. Please write in explaining the grounds of exemption and we will issue a school lanyard of exemption, otherwise students will be expected to wear a face covering
  • School transport will run as normal from Monday 8th March
  • All procedures and routines to protect the school community will remain in place until government guidance says they are no longer necessary

Dates of Return

To allow for the potential testing of entire year groups, students will return as follows -

  • Monday 8th March - Year 11
  • Tuesday 9th March - Year 10
  • Wednesday 10th March - Year 7
  • Thursday 11th March - Year 8
  • Friday 12th March - Year 9

The children from all year groups who have been in school as vulnerable or children of critical workers, will continue to attend every day.

Work will continue to be set on Synergy during this week for those year groups not yet back in school. It may be difficult to provide live lessons as staff will be helping with the testing and supervising students as well as teaching those who have returned to class.
