Directions

There's a choice of ways of getting to the school:

BY CAR

From the North, South and East - via the M6 and M55

Leave the M6 at junction 32 (signposted Blackpool and the M55). Follow the M55 for approximately 12km to junction 3 (signposted Fleetwood, Kirkham and the A585). Leave the motorway at the junction and at the roundabout at the end of the slip road take the first exit signposted Kirkham. Follow the A585 south towards Kirkham for some 3km, passing through Wesham, to the traffic lights at the crossroads (the George Hotel is on the right and Swan Hotel ahead of you). At the traffic lights turn left, continue along the main shopping thoroughfare for approximately 400 metres and take the third turning on your right signposted Freckleton. Follow this road, Freckleton Street, passing the Police Station on your left and take the third turning on your left, Royal Avenue. The school is approximately 150 metres ahead of you.

From the East, via Preston and the A583

Follow the A583 signposted Blackpool from Preston passing through Clifton and Newton with Scales. Travelling through Newton with Scales you will pass the Bell and Bottle Hotel on your left as you approach the traffic lights. Continue to follow the main road for approximately 2km, ignoring the first signpost for Kirkham and the A585. At the next set of traffic lights (there is a Texaco filling station on your right) turn right and in approximately 50 metres turn right again. The school is approximately 150 metres ahead of you.

From Blackpool and the West - via the M55

Follow the M55 to junction 3 signposted Fleetwood, Kirkham and the A585. At the end of the slip road at the roundabout take the third exit signposted Kirkham (now follow instructions from the asterisk in section 'From the North, South and East, via the M6 and the M55').

From Lytham St. Annes in the South

Follow the A584 signposted Blackpool from Lytham St. Annes passing through Warton towards Preston. Follow the A584 bypass of Freckleton to the traffic lights, at the traffic lights turn left into Kirkham Road and follow the road north signposted Kirkham. In approximately 3km at the next set of traffic lights, at the intersection with the A583, go straight ahead. Now take the first turning right into Royal Avenue. The school is approximately 150 metres ahead of you.

Visitors are invited to use the main car park, space permitting, which is sited to the right of the main gate.

BY TRAIN

Kirkham is on the main line from Blackpool to Preston and trains from Preston, Blackpool South and Blackpool North run on a fairly regular basis.

On leaving the station you should turn left and follow the main road for about 400 metres to the traffic lights, (the George Hotel is on the right and the Swan Hotel ahead of you). At the traffic lights, turn left, continue along the main shopping thoroughfare for approximately 400 metres and take the third turning on your right signposted Freckleton. Follow this road, Freckleton Street, passing the Police Station on your left and take the third turning on your left, Royal Avenue. The school is approximately 150 metres ahead of you.

BY BUS

A regular service runs from Preston Bus Station, service number 154, 155, 158, and from Blackpool's Bus Station at Talbot Road, service number 154, 155, 158. You should alight at the Market Place in Kirkham and walk up Freckleton Street (adjacent to Barclays Bank) past the Police Station taking the third turning on your left, Royal Avenue. The school is approximately 150 metres ahead of you.
