As a result of the thaw today I am very pleased to inform you that Carr Hill will resume normal business tomorrow, Tuesday 12th January. All students will be in school, all day. The buses will return to dropping off and picking up at the school bus bay. The school grounds are largely free of snow and ice, except the piles created by the digger last Friday. Conditions underfoot are good, with virtually no slush. The paths up from Freckleton Road are being gritted. All students are expected to return to wearing school uniform shoes, in addition to the rest of their normal uniform. Students will still need to keep off the grassy areas, which are still snowbound. Students behaved in a clam and sensible manner today, for which they are to be congratulated. This needs to continue. I appreciate this has been a been a challenging 7 days for everyone. Thank you for your patience, support and co-operation. Patrick Earnshaw Headteacher |
