Chef Glen Moody serving lunch to Josh Naisbett (front) and Josh Nicol (back).
OUR school chef is top again after being named the best in the North West.
Fast on the heels of scooping the Lancashire best chef award in December Glen Moody has now beaten stiff competition from seven other North West entries to be named the region’s winner.
He now faces more competition as he prepares for the national final of the LACA (Local Authority Catering Association) School Chef of the Year competition in May.
WELL DONE GLEN!
As well as appearing in the local press Glen has also been interviewed live on BBC Radio Lancashire talking about his win. If you would like to listen click HERE. (The interview was broadcast on the Graham Liver Breakfast Show on Thurs March 11th. Forward to 2hrs 25mins for Glen's interview.)

A transformed LRC
It's Carr Hill Science Week (March 8th - 12th) and there are a whole host of exciting activities taking place.
Get yourself to the LRC on Mon, Tues and Thurs @1.25pm where there will be a Reptile Roadshow courtesy of Reptile Room, Preston.
On Friday the Creepy Crawly Roadshow is visiting school where you may fancy stroking a tarantula or getting up close with a snake.
No ticket is required for these events but arrive early to avoid disappointment

There are also lots of opportunities to win prizes this week with three competitions:
1. Design a predator - entry forms available in the LRC
2. Pick up a quiz sheet from the LRC and answer questions on the 11 habitats displayed around school
3. Get your camera out and take a pic based on land, sea or water. Post entries in the box provided in the LRC

SCIENCE IS EVERYWHERE SO GET INVOLVED NOW!
